Bat soap by Phe-chan Bat soap by Phe-chan
Because crime fighting is dirty work. I made three of these as a surprise for my husband. It's honey soap, so I barely had to color it (way better for skin) with ocean scent oil. Which may not be the batman-iest scent there is, but I'm not so sure I'd want to smell like batman.

Ohmigosh it's awesome!!! But where did you get black soap dye?! O.o Or is the bat-logo not made of soap but something else?

The black is actually foam set in the center. :) I have seen black soap dye online. I don't remember were, however. Sorry.

I never even considered using a foam cut out as an embed! So far I've only embedded soap and Japanese erasers. I'll have to remember this technique!

So how do you make the soap itself?

It's just a glycerin base melted down on the stove with a drizzle of honey in it, scent oils and soap coloring (not much, honey makes it yellow). Pour the mold half full, let it set, add the cut out, spritz with alcohol, fill the rest of the mold up. Let it sit overnight before you pop it out. :D

Micheals and Hobby Lobby sell the soap. Rubbing alcohol is at walmart/target/pharmacies.
